New Day Off Email Format - May 23, 2013

May 23, 2013: New Days Off Request Email

Release date: May 24, 2013

HourDoc is pleased to launch a new version of it's day off email feature.  Currently, when a user requests a day off, the notification is sent to a manager who then has to log into the system and verify the balances and then approve the day off request.  The new feature being launched will allow a user to approve and see the balances directly from the request in the email itself.

To approve the day off request, you will only need to click on the "approve" button located within the body of the email.  When this action is taken, you will be re-directed to a web page showing successful approval of the request.

To deny, you will be re-directed to web page where you will need to log in to deny or edit the request.  We chose to have this deny / edit request remain manual because there are many variables that can be used when editing or denying a request.

If the employee modifies their day off request, a new email will be sent to the manager.  You will then only be able to approve or deny the day off request from the new email.

To note, on this email, you will not see other employees who have requested similar days off.  The manager would still have to log in and review that list.

Please feel free to leave comments or submit a ticket to support@hourdoc.com if you have any questions.

This is the layout of the new days off email.

I notice also that in order to approve only a portion of the days in a request with multiple days in it you would also need to log in.

Yes, you are correct about the multiple days requests.  Thank you for that additional comment.
