Turn off auto-fill in Chrome

Clear all your Autofill entries

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. In the top right, click the icon you see: Menu Chrome menu or More More.
  3. Click More tools > Clear browsing data.
  4. In the box that appears, check Autofill form data.
  5. Choose how much information you want to delete.
  6. To clear everything, choose "the beginning of time."
  7. Click Clear browsing data.

 

Delete an Autofill entry

  1. In the top right, click the icon you see: Menu Chrome menu or More More.
  2. Click Settings > Show advanced settings.
  3. Under "Passwords and forms," click Manage Autofill settings.
  4. In the box that appears, select the entry you'd like to delete from the list.
  5. At the end of the row, click X.

If you added a Google Payments card, you can manage this information in Google Payments.

 

Delete saved text

If you find a certain piece of saved text while filling out a form, you can delete it on the page.

  1. Choose the text in the dropdown list using the arrows on your keyboard.
  2. Delete it:
    • Windows: Press Shift+Delete
    • Mac: Press Shift+fn+Delete
