Loading Genus Files from the Default Loader Mode (resetting a clock)

Phase 1

Delete all bio-metrics from clock if clock is a bio-metric unit

Phase 2

Remove existing registry of clock from GENUS Registry (genus.myhourdoc.com) if clock registry exists

Phase 3

  1. Make note of the terminal IP address, subnet mask, and gateway

  2. Put the terminal in the Off-line mode

  3. Power up the terminal

  4. Press the “E” key when “LOADER SETUP Press E to continue other key to Exit” is displayed

  5. Enter the terminal IP address; press “E” to continue

  6. Enter the subnet mask using the up/down arrows; press “E” to continue

  7. Enter the gateway; press “E” to continue

  8. At the “Force Default?” prompt; press the “F1” key

  9. After the default loader has loaded the terminal should display “Enter TFTP Server” “IP: 010.010.000.001”

  10. Press the “F1” key to enter the “Flash Utility” and press “E” to clear flash (~ 500 sectors will be erased)

  11. Terminal will display “Enter TFTP Server” “IP: 010.010.000.001”

  12. Open a DOS prompt window

  13. Change the path/directory location to where the files are located

  14. Load the Genus file using the following command: (command is CasE SensitivE)

    tftp -i <terminal IP address> put g1v_4_4_32 \flashdisk\Genus  (or the most current GENUS version)

  15. You should receive a “Transmit Successful” message in the DOS window after about one minute

  16. Load the Classes file using the following command: (command is CasE SensitivE)

    tftp -i < terminal IP address> put G1-Classes-1.0.143.jar \flashdisk\Classes.jar  (or the most current Classes Version)

  17. You should receive a “Transmit Successful” message in the DOS window after about 30-45 seconds

  18. Power cycle the terminal

  19. Load the Application file using the following command: (command is CasE SensitivE)

    tftp -i < terminal IP address> put <your application.jar> \flashdisk\App.jar

  20. You should receive a “Transmit Successful” message in the DOS window after about 15 seconds

  21. Power cycle the terminal
