Create, Edit & View Days Off Requests

From the home screen, the Days Off tab lists the current day off requests of your employees.

Creating New Entries

To create a new Day Off entry, click Create New Entry

From here, the create new entry screen opens.

Personnel: Select the personnel that the request is for.

Requested Type: The type of  day off that is is being requested

Comment: Can leave a comment if required.

Notify Also: Notify additional managers.

Number of days: the total amount of days that the employee will be taking.

Date: the date that the leave is applicable from.

Requested: Total requested hours. (Please enter the hours in decimal format e.g.: 30 minutes = 0.5)

Approved: Total approved hours. (Please enter the hours in decimal format e.g.: 30 minutes = 0.5) 

Status: Set the current status of the request (Pending, Approved or Declined)

Deduct From Day Off Accrual: Whether this leave will be deducted from the employees day off accruals

Pay Hours: Whether or not the hours will be deducted from their pay hours.

 

View All Entries

To view the pending requests, select “View All Entries”.

Display Pending Requests only: this is the default view for pending requests. Deselect the option to view more or all entries.

Below is the result of the selected option.

If you have managers that have only certain departments or employees assigned to them, they will only see those for whom they are responsible.

 

Edit Day Off Requests

You can edit the approval status as well as deduct hours from an employee’s availability and pay the hours.

Click "edit".

When the request is approved or denied, it is automatically updated in the employee’s account and added to the payroll report if applicable.
