Selecting Day Off Eligibility for employees

Introduction:

Setting DOA eligibility for employees based on the employee history that is synced from their Human Resource Information System (HRIS) is done by selecting the eligibility checkbox on the history screen in the employee profile.

Enabling the sync with Prism HR setting for a client will now display the employment and wage history screens as read only, except for the ability to select and update employee’s DOA eligibility.

Disabling the sync with Prism HR setting for a client will display the employment and wage history screens with full functionality i.e. Updating employment and wage history and managing DOA eligibility.

Navigation:

WorkSight Navigation:

Personnel Hub > View All Personnel > Select Employee > Select the employment button to the right.

HourDoc Navigation:

Preferences > Personnel > Select Employee > Select the employment button to the right.

The employment history screen is now displayed:

The date records that are listed within the employees’ history will be the fields determining the Date of Eligibility for the employee.

As an example:

Using the entries displayed above:

Despite the fact that multiple records are checked; the system will systematically filter through all records to find the correct DOA date for the employees’ accrual.

In this case, the accrual date will be 08/12/2015

  • The TLM system will look at the eligibility check boxes in order of latest to earliest, in the given example the employee would have been eligible from 08/03/2015.
  • Thereafter the employee would be non-eligible from 08/06/2015.
  • The employee is then marked as eligible on 08/12/2015.
  • On 08/29/2015 the employee is again marked as eligible; therefore the effective date is 08/12/2015 as it is the earliest consecutive eligible date.

 

This means that when there is a break in the employees eligibility, the employee does not lose out on accruals. The employee would accrue from 08/03/2015 - 08/06/2015, the accrual will then stop.

The employee accrual will then continue on 08/02/2015, displaying a gap in the accrual history on the DOA report.

**NOTE**

The employee history /wage screens are read only, except for the DOA eligibility, as the employees history/wage is managed through the Human Resource Information System.
